Nokia N8 Vs Apple Iphone....!
Iphone Vs Nokia N8 Click Here
In most of the features like HSUPA speeds, fps in video recording, screen resolution etc the iPhone 4 beats the Nokia N8 easily. We can also be certain that the Apple A4 CPU/GPU with the new gyro axis will deliver better gaming experience and the App Store love still remains with Apple. However the openness (bluetooth file trf, mass storage, memory card addon), FM Radio and multiple carrier choices still gives the N8 an edge.

Nokia C7 Vs Nokia N8
We’ve been waiting for the Nokia N8 for quite a while now, but in the meantime the suave new Nokia C7 has made an appearance. The specs aren’t a world apart, so which would you opt for? Join us after the cut to find out more… The Nokia C7 looks set to be released in the near future – following hot on the heels of the Nokia N8. Which handset is the better choice? Read on to find out. Build quality
Choosing between the two handsets when it comes to quality is tricky, as both are incredibly tough. We think that the Nokia N8 just about shades it, however, with a one-piece anodised aluminium casing. That’s not to say the Nokia C7 is lacking, as it’s also constructed from stainless steel and glass. Check out our Nokia C7 hands-on preview Cameras
The Nokia N8 still retains the best camera we’ve ever seen on a smartphone, with a 12-Megapixel sensor. The Nokia C7 counters with an 8-Megapixel camera – it may not be as impressive but it’s still capable of amazing photographs. Both can record video content in high-definition. Storage
The Nokia C7 boasts 8GB of integrated storage space. This can upgraded via microSD cards, with cards of up to 32GB supported. The Nokia N8 offers more memory, at 16GB, and also offers microSD cards of up to 32GB. Screen
The Nokia N8 offers a large 3.5-inch touchscreen that’s perfect for web use and movies. It’s a capacitive panel, and is responsive, bright and colourful. There’s nothing to separate the two phones here, as the Nokia C7 also boasts an identical screen. Operating system
Both the Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 feature the latest cutting edge Symbian ^3 operating system. With multiple home screens on both phones, usability promises to be excellent.
World’s Smallest Stop Motion Video Created With Nokia N8
Dot, Star of the Worlds Smallest Stop-Motion video was captured using a Nokia N8 smartphone and and a Cellscope (a cellphone camera with a 50x magnification microscope).
Animators at the UK studio Aardman used a 3D printer to make 50 different versions of Dot, because she is too small to manipulate or bend like they would other stop-motion animation characters. Watch the movie after the jump.
Nokia at Sixes and Sevens Over N8
Nokia is at sixes and sevens over its new flagship smartphone, the N8.Having categorically told the media earlier this week “we have decided to hold the shipments for a few weeks to do some final amends”–read our overage here–the Finnish mobile phone giant is desperately rowing back after a deluge of negative press.“There have been [some stories] about the N8 availability which we feel need clarification,” says a terse post on the company’s official blog.It adds that “we still expect to start the shipments by the end of the third quarter” and continues:“As it can take time from the beginning of shipment to arriving at their doorstep, in full transparency, we have advised our pre-order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October.”Despite the post, no one seems any the wiser.A stream of replies from Nokia’s most ardent fans makes for grim reading, painting a picture of confusion and anger.“C’mon Nokia, be honest with customers!!” writes ‘Salem874’. “Where do we stand? Confusion and things like this only worsens your (already damaged) reputation. I’m sure customers will be satisfied with being told exactly what’s going on and what to expect from their pre-orders (this coming from a long-time Nokia custome

Nokia's N8 Sports Fantastic Hardware, Tired OS
After a year of lackluster handset launches, Nokia may have a winner on its hands with the N8 smartphone. We spent some time with the new device at Nokia World 2010 in London, and while it wasn’t enough time to draw up a full review, we were able to get some hands-on first impressions.
First off, the hardware is fantastic. Wrapped in a beautiful anodized aluminum body with a 3.5-inch OLED display, the N8 will ship in green, blue, orange, silver, and graphite colors. While the display size is a bit smaller than the 4+ inch options on the market, it strikes a nice balance between “too small” and “way too big.” At 4.76 ounces, the phone is lightweight, feels good in the hand, and can easily be slipped into a tight pocket or purse.
The unit ships with Symbian^3, the newest version of the Symbian platform. Among the improvements, the user is greeted with three homescreens and the ability to add up to 24 shortcuts to each. Simply press and hold the screen for a few seconds to add or remove widgets and applications. It’s a nice revision to Symbian versions of the past and does a decent job of bringing the platform into the 21st century. Despite the updates, the OS still seems a bit tired at this point.
The phone is powered by a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor, which falls below the typical 1 GHz benchmark in today’s high-end smartphones. In our hands-on time with it, we noticed a bit of lag when transitioning between homescreens and opening apps. It wasn’t terribly alarming, but could be a point of contention for those used to the speedy performance of Android and iOS.
Thanks to the capacitive touchscreen, the virtual keyboard is responsive. In portrait mode, the N8 displays a T9-style keypad, while in landscape mode, the user is given a full QWERTY layout to work with. We tested it by typing out several messages, and within minutes, we were clicking away with ease.

Nokia Smartphones HEad Vanjoki To Step Down...!
Sept. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Erik Schatzker reports on major newsmakers in today's Movers & Shakers.
Nokia Oyj, the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones, said the head of its smartphone division resigned, becoming the first casualty of the change at the top of the company.
Anssi Vanjoki will stay in his job for now and has a six- month notice period, the Espoo, Finland-based company said in a statement today. Nokia last week appointed Microsoft Corp.’s business division president, Stephen Elop, to take over from Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo as chief executive officer.
Vanjoki, a 20-year Nokia veteran, is the last executive remaining from Chairman Jorma Ollila’s 1990s “Dream Team,” which also included Kallasvuo, whose final day on the job is Sept. 20. Elop will take over the next day.
Barclays Capital upgraded Nokia to “overweight” from “equal weight,” and said in a note dated today that it expects Elop to help the company’s stuttering software operations and possibly change its operating systems.
“This marks the end of an era at Nokia and could signal further management changes to follow,” CCS Insight analyst Ben Wood said by text message.
Nokia gained as much as 2.6 percent to 7.99 euros and was trading up 2.4 percent at 7.98 euros at 12:13 p.m. in Helsinki.

NFS Shift On The Nokia N8: Serious Gaming Potential
The Nokia N8 has a dedicated graphics processor that takes the load off its other 680 MHz processor when you are playing games, showing off pictures and with other graphics related tasks. Till today, I hadn’t really seen it in action but at ‘An Evening With Ovi‘ I did some gaming on the N8, with Asphalt and NFS Shift and I have to say it was pretty nice.

The First Official Interactive Unboxing Of The Nokia N8
The First Official Interactive Unboxing Of The Nokia N8... By SUZY
Game on: two new releases from Nokia
Today Nokia has launched two new games developed by Rovio, the Finnish company behind the incredibly successful pig-toppling puzzler, Angry Birds. The games – Bounce Boing Battle and Ovi Maps Challenge – are for most of S60 v5 and Symbian^3 devices. The former is free; the latter is also free, but with optional paid-for add-ons. Read on to see what the games are all about.
Bounce Boing Battle is in the noble lineage of Pong, but with some radically modern twists. For starters, it’s a game for two people, doing battle across a Bluetooth connection. Instead of a static bat, the players draw lines to knock back the ball to their opponent. The position and angle of the line affects the trajectory and speed of the ball, allowing for some clever tactical play. Four different playing fields are included, each of which requires a different approach.

Nokia N8 and E7 hope to turn tide for Finnish company
Although specs for the N8 look decent, how it compares in reality to other top-end smartphones remains to be seen - especially when you consider the positive reception of handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S. These doubts are compounded with the fact that it's still running the Symbian OS (although it is the updated Symbian^3), something consumers may think twice about when comparing it to the Android and iOS alternatives. And this is the crux: if Nokia can provide an excellent, well thought out operating system which, crucially, entices developers to provide plenty of high quality content then it'll stand a good chance of competing with the likes of Apple in the smartphone market.
Nokia N8 Customer Satisfaction....!
Today, phones are considered as one of the basic needs. It is the easiest mode of communication. A Mobile phone connects us world wide within seconds with our any problems. Nokia N8 is one phone with highly developed features that leave the customer surprised. These phones carry out features that are not available in all the phones. Some of the features are the 12 mega pixel camera, High video quality, access to the internet, sound, and video conferencing.
These Nokia N8 contract phones are available in various colors like orange, silver, blue, and grey. Since these phones have an awesome camera n mp3, it is unnecessary to carry a camera for pictures or an IPod for music.
These phones are simply an entertainment box that never lets down the user and it is more convenient to carry it around without any wires attached. Nokia N8 also has a long lasting battery which is a plus point so you can use your phone for a longer time because the battery backup is strong.
Nokia bring out an entire new dimension when it comes to connection and entertainment. The camera has a face detector and smile detector making the camera a work of art in phones.
There are many websites online that provide all the possible required information needed for a buyer who is interested. The person interested can take his own time to research and compare phones and then pick one that suits his requirements. He can buy a phone with any choice of network connections. A few top network companies being Vodafone, Orange, O2, Virgin, and T mobile and so on.
Nokia N8 User Guide Available Online
Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is expected to launch the Nokia N8, its first Symbian^3-based handset, sometime before the end of this month, but those who are interested in learning more on how the phone works can already download the full user guide from Nokia's website.
The document comes in PDF format and has a number of 122 pages of explanations on how to use the device or various services or applications it comes to the market with.
According to a recent post on My Nokia Blog, this should be the final version of the user guide for Nokia's Symbian^3 device, following the emergence of a similar solution sometime in May.
While many might not be interested in what the use guide has to say about the Nokia N8, it can still be consider as interesting reading before the actual device would land on the market, that's for sure.
As for when that would happen, things are still uncertain, it seems, for Nokia did not announce an official release date for the high-end mobile phone.

Nokia N8 official release date leaked
An official UK release date for the Nokia N8 has finally made its way onto the Internet, and it looks set to be available from September 23rd.
This highly anticipated news means that the handset may be available for pre-order within the next few days.
The information comes from a leak by Nokia themselves, so we’re gonna say that this one must be right. The handset’s release date was delayed after originally being set for August and we’ve been speculating ever since, but I’ve got a good feeling about this one.
Spies at NokNok discovered the official looking Google advertisement for Nokia Online, which stated that the handset is currently in stock and will be shipped from September 23rd.
Without a doubt, Nokia’s first Symbian^3 device is one of the most sought after handsets of the year. The N8 is set to feature a 3.5 inch AMOLED screen, HD video recording and a whopping 12MP camera.
The handset is also rumoured to feature a SIM free price-tag of £429.00, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Here’s hoping we only have a few weeks left to wait, we’ll keep you updated

Nokia N8 gets you a movie part with Pamela Anderson
Nokia is hoping to get publicity for the forthcoming Nokia N8 by inviting you to enter a competition to appear in a short film with Pamela Anderson and Ed Westwick.
The short feature, called ‘The Commuter’ will be shot exclusively on the N8, to show off its HD video capturing abilities.
Pamela said of the new movie: “I’m really excited about the film and can’t wait to get on set. I don’t want to give too much away, but my scenes are shot in a bedroom and I’m looking forward to going back to my Finnish roots and sharing my bed with a Nokia N8!”
The scene with Ed will involve getting up close and personal in a lift.
The winners of the competition will not only get to feature in the short film, but will also get to attend the star-studded London premier of the completed film in October.
The film is being directed by the McHenry Brothers, who have recently completed their first feature length movie, Jack Boots on Whitehall, featuring Ewan McGregor, Rosamund Pike, Richard E Grant and Timothy Spall.

Nokia N8 FM Transmitter Review
FM transmitter is just one multimedia feature that we also saw on the N97 classic and other devices and now we could also have it on the Nokia N8. The highlights of the review was on how to use the FM transmitter on the Nokia N8. So for those who knew how to use it already, you might be interested on the improvements of the Nokia N8 and Symbian’s offering on the Symbian^3 platform. But for those who are not familiar to this please watch the video below. See video after the break…
After seeing this video I was got more excited for the upcoming Nokia N8, so now I’m super excited. Not only because of the FM transmitter that was featured on this video but it’s the overall device itself. It’s freaking awesome watching this one as the real N8 usage reflects on smooth UI and top-notch multimedia support.

6 Reasons the Nokia N8 Might Hit the Stores
Julien Fourgeaud wrote some very convincing reasons on his blog that the Nokia N8 could start spreading to consumers on September 14th instead of the official “end of Q3.” We hear a lot of rumors in the blogosphere, but I’d pay attention to Julien because of his history with Nokia. He previously worked on development of various Eseries and Nseries devices and was with Symbian Foundation until 3 months ago to form his own consulting company.
You can read his post here, but I’ve taken some snippets from the article and listed them below.
Sept 14th is the grand opening of Nokia World.
Nokia N8 pre-orders delivered same day as Nokia World could send the device trending on Twitter and other social media.
700€ fee to get into Nokia World could cover the cost of everyone including the developers attending the Nokia Developer Summit receiving a Nokia N8.
The Nokia N8 is now available in the device selection on the Ovi Store.
The Nokia N8 is available at Remote Device Access for Forum Nokia Pro.
More Nokia N8′s are seen in the hands of Nokia Marketing people, indicating that they have provided enough devices to developers.
Do you agree and think Nokia can release the Nokia N8 on the 14th?
